My name is Fei, I'm a trained medical illustrator based in Portland, Oregon. I graduated from the MFA Medical Illustration program at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, NY and studied Fine Arts and Biology at the University of San Francisco. After 4+ years designing VR surgical training modules and visuals in collaboration with medical device companies and surgeons for surgical education, I'm currently working on circling back to creating media for research publications and expanding into patient education.

Given current trends and the state of healthcare and access to it in the U.S., I feel that the importance of patient education and changing the public's understanding and perception of science, especially pertaining to medicine and people's own health cannot be understated.

When I'm not working or catching up on odds and ends of adulting, I enjoy baking, cooking, reading comics, distance running, checking out new places/restaurants and babysitting pets.
